Gajanan D. Pataskar
Gajanan Pataskar is an engineer from COEP and has global exposure due to his long and illustrious stint with the Merchant Navy. He won a gold medal in the ICWA Final Exam and has a unique distinction of scoring 65% and above marks in both the exams – CWA Final as well as Inter.
Few Awards bestowed on him by the Institute and the Pune Chapter are:
- M. R. Shrinivasa Iyengar Prize
- Kedarnath Prahladrai Dhanuka Memorial Prize
- Silver Jubilee Prize by the Pune Chapter
- Late Sanjay Gokhale Prize
- Vishindas Dansinghani Prize (Final as well as Inter)
He worked in a reputed manufacturing company in Pune but soon left the same for pursuing his passion i.e. Teaching. Since then he has not looked back. Today he is known amongst the students for his clarity of thought and expression. Due to his great teaching skills, many students owe their success in Finance, Costing and Operations Management to him.
Besides being a faculty at Balaji Coaching Centre®, he has also taught at a renowned MBA college and the Pune Chapter of Cost Accountants.

Shalaka Pataskar is a commerce graduate with distinction from S. P. College, Pune. She completed her CA at a young age of 22 years. Before entering the teaching profession she worked with a well known Finance Company and several CA Firms.
